Let’s begin with a little basic information regarding drinking in Las Vegas.
- In Las Vegas, the drinking age is 21 years old and above.
- Unlike most American cities, Las Vegas isn’t burdened by the crazy alcohol policies it must adhere to. The word “LAST CALL” will never be heard in any bar or night club.
- It’s Vegas. There’s a place here where you can drink all day.So it’s ok to walk around The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas while drinking. Doing this means you will never be arrested, cited, fined or second-glanced. I

VEGAS DRINK PRICES
You need to keep in mind that drinks at Vegas nightclubs may be higher. The price of the drink varies from $10 to $20 per drink, depending on the drink and the location. It doesn’t really benefit you to stand at the bar and yell at anyone in the 10 ft vicinity about how many beer cases you could afford for this amount.
The average cost of drinks in Vegas is:
- Give a Domestic Beer for $7 – $10
- Import Beer: $8 – $10
- Mix Drinks $12 to $15
- Mix Shots: $10
- Cognacs: $12 – $15
- Red Bull drinks: $18 to $20
- Exotic Mixed Drinks: $20 – $30 (Long Islands, etc).

BARTENDERS’ EARS ARE SHARING
You are advised to place your drink order in a club’s side bar. They are typically the most convenient and speedy method of communicating with them. No matter where you decide to go have a drink, ensure that you have one bartender from which you are ordering your drinks all evening.
Simple is best. Attend a shot start and get in a round of shots at the beginning of the evening. Most people don’t mind taking shots as they are quick and easy. Dillon Reese was a good friend of mine and he assisted us in having a discussion with other bartenders about the most commonly ordered drinks and shots in Vegas. The consensus was that the most popular beverages were 8 different shots, and 12 different mixed drinks.
