We totally understand if you have ever missed a pool party in Vegas because you did not know what to bring. I did it, too. Where do you put your wallet, phone, and keys when you’re swimming?
We’ve now been to several of these parties and have figured out some simple ways to deal with them. Here’s what we found works:
WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR STUFF AT VEGAS POOL PARTIES
UNDER THE CHAIR
Most people simply throw their things into their shoes and slide them into a corner. Throw a towel over it or a shirt, and you’re done. If you don’t have anything too valuable to bring, this usually works.
POOL BAGS & PURSES
Many girls will bring purses or cute bags to the pool and place them near their chairs. Just keep an eye on these. Check before you go.
KEEP IT SUPER MINIMAL
Bring as little as you can. Sometimes I leave my phone in the room if I’m at a hotel with a pool party. The only thing I bring with me is:
- Identification
- Room key
- Credit card

USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM
Make a deal with your team to watch out for each different. Someone must continually be going through you. Although it’s no longer perfect, it does help.
ASK ABOUT LOCKERS
Some pool parties do have lockers, but they are no longer very common and may be limited. Ask a member of the staff whilst you arrive.
PRO TIP: CABANAS & DAYBEDS HAVE SAFES
It’s a bit of an acknowledged reality that in case you e-book a cabana, or a top-class daybed with a private toilet, the safe is usually built-in. This is a first-rate perk that is often left out.
