Where to Put Your Stuff at a Las Vegas Pool Party?

We totally understand if you have ever missed a pool party in Vegas because you did not know what to bring. I did it, too. Where do you put your wallet, phone, and keys when you’re swimming?

We’ve now been to several of these parties and have figured out some simple ways to deal with them. Here’s what we found works:

What to do with your stuff at Vegas pool parties

Under the Chair

Most people simply throw their things into their shoes and slide them into a corner. Throw a towel over it or a shirt, and you’re done. If you don’t have anything too valuable to bring, this usually works.

Pool Bags & Purses

Many girls will bring purses or cute bags to the pool and place them near their chairs. Just keep an eye on these. Please note that some venues require clear bags, and large bags may not be permitted. Check before you go.

Waterproof Pouch, Fanny Pack, or Bag

Grab a small waterproof fanny pack or a waterproof phone case if you are worried about your stuff getting wet. Wear it around your neck or waist, in the swimming pool, or even on your back. It keeps all your essentials within reach—total game-changer.

Keep it Super Minimal

Bring as little as you can. Sometimes I leave my phone in the room if I’m at a hotel with a pool party. The only thing I bring with me is:

  • Identification
  • Room key
  • Credit card

All that can be stuffed into a shoe or a shirt. Even if you lose something, it would be difficult for someone else to replace it. See our guide to what to bring to the pool party in Las Vegas.

Use the Buddy System

Make a deal with your crew to watch out for each other. Someone must always be facing you. Although it’s not perfect, it does help.

Ask about Lockers

Some pool parties do have lockers, but they are not very common and may be limited. Ask a member of staff when you arrive.

Pro Tip: Cabanas & Daybeds Have Safes

It’s a little-known fact that if you book a cabana, or a premium daybed with a private bathroom, the safe is usually built-in. This is a great perk that’s often overlooked. It eliminates the problem of “where can I store my things?” Find out more about bottle service at pool parties.

Do not let your fear of losing things stop you from enjoying yourself. Bring only the essentials, store your things smartly, and have fun at the party. Vegas pool parties should be fun. Enjoy the moment, don’t overthink.
